About Us

Who we are

We are a diverse and unified body, passionate about Pentecostal worship, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and dedicated to raising up disciples who impact their communities with love and truth.

A Look Into the History of the Church of God in North Georgia

What began in 1902 as a small gathering in the Jones Church near McCaysville has grown into a powerful movement of over 280 churches and 115,000 members stretching from the Georgia-Tennessee border to Macon. North Georgia now holds the strongest Church of God membership base in the continental United States—a legacy that can only be attributed to the power of the Holy Spirit and the obedience of those early believers who dared to trust God with big faith and bold vision.

Today, as we face challenges unlike any before, we remain confident that our core values will not only endure but will lead us into an even greater season of harvest. The story of North Georgia has always been one of men and women rising up in faith to meet the moment—and that hasn’t changed. While our methods must adapt, the spiritual DNA that shaped our beginning will guide us forward. The task is not finished, and we believe the best is still to come.
